Mersin Inclusion Program – Learning outcomes

The parties have agreed that the following learning outcomes should be achieved during the learning mobility:

Outcome 1: Inclusion, Integration, and Mainstreaming
Relevant subject, skill or competence:Intercultural competence, intercultural awareness, professional development
Description:This program will help participants understand the benefits and challenges of different techniques for making education more accessible and effective for all learners, such as inclusion, integration, and mainstreaming. They will take part in discussions on best practices and participate in successful implementation in various educational contexts. By the end of the program, participants will learn practical methods to design inclusive learning environments that meet the needs of every student.
Outcome 2:  Heterogeneous Classrooms
Relevant subject, skill or competence:Developing creative thinking, intercultural competence, intercultural awareness, professional development
Description:This program will enable participants to learn how to interact and handle diverse groups of learners and promote the integration of minority groups into mainstream education. They will participate in engaging workshops and cooperative classroom observations, and build a toolkit for modifying their teaching methods to suit diverse learning preferences and cultural backgrounds. They will also discover the role of technology in creating inclusivity within the classroom setting.
Outcome 3: Innovative activities
Relevant subject, skill or competence: Intercultural competence, intercultural awareness, professional development
Description:This program will also help participants to recognize and address risk factors and various kinds of obstacles in learning and create increased synergies between education, research and innovative intervention activities. Participants will be introduced to family engagement and also enhance their communication and collaboration skills with parents and families. The program will offer opportunities for practical experience in creating and implementing innovative educational activities and encourage participants to work with local educators and experts. Through reflective sessions, participants will improve their critical thinking on diverse learner environments.
Outcome 4:  Intercultural Awareness
Relevant subject, skill or competence:Intercultural competence, intercultural awareness, professional development
Description:This program will also help participants to improve their knowledge and skills for supporting learners with special needs promoting mutual respect, tolerance and understanding. They will have immersive experiences, such as visiting local cultural institutions and interacting with community members, to enhance their cultural knowledge and communication skills. They will take part in cross-cultural dialogues, gaining insights into the subtleties of inclusive education across various global contexts.
Outcome 5:  Non-discriminatory Values
Relevant subject, skill or competence:Communication skills, improvement of foreign language competencies
Description:Participants will observe how to utilize ready-to-use materials and methods to enhance educational practices in the field of mainstreaming students’ education. Furthermore, participants will advocate for universal access to education with a commitment to non-discriminatory values. They will engage in workshops focused on fostering effective communication strategies, emphasizing the importance of language proficiency in creating an inclusive educational environment. Participants will actively promote awareness of non-discriminatory values within their respective educational communities, contributing to a more inclusive and supportive learning environment for all.   This program will help participants to learn how to use available materials and methods to improve educational practices in their teaching process. Participants will also advocate for universal access to education with a commitment to non-discriminatory values. They will participate in workshops that focus on developing effective communication strategies, highlighting the importance of language proficiency in creating an inclusive educational environment. Participants will actively raise awareness of non-discriminatory values within their respective educational communities, contributing to a more inclusive and supportive learning environment for all.
